What is a Whilhelm scream?
It is a scream that has been used in hundreds of movies over the last 60 years in films, TV shows and commercials, and video games. It has prodominantly been used in the last 30 years. Ben Burtt, sound designer used it for Star Wars and it took off from there. It has appeared in everything from Toy Story to Zombie Strippers.
